Following a holiday to Hawaii the team behind Nosh came to BrandWorks to create a new brand and fit-out for a concept inspired by poke, a popular raw fish salad served in Hawaii. For an added challenge, they wanted to make sure the brand wasn’t limited to just the one dish. They wanted to take Asian flavours, but do them differently, a mix of the expected and the unexpected - healthy, fresh, and naturally super tasty.
Together through a brand strategy workshop, we determined that the brand was energetic and approachable, a balance of cheeky and serious, so that the nutritious aspect of the food is not too severe but also not lost. Contrasting elements are brought together in the brand to create something surprising, in a good way. The rich magentas and orange colours are reminiscent of fresh foods like berries, beetroot or ginger; foods that are packed with flavour and nutrients. The cream and navy give the brand a more grown-up, fashion-forward feeling while not straying from the key brand objectives: fun, fresh, delicious food.
